Fast forward 5 years and I was working in a corporate finance job in Dallas, when I started part time teaching Core Fusion at exhale. BABY CORE FUSION, PAPA FRED DEVITO

By: Madison Wright
Blog Coordinator + Core Fusion Teacher

Father’s Day is a national institution, every year on the third Sunday in June; we pay tribute and thanks to more than 70 million papas here in the United States. The year 1910 marked the first celebration of Father’s Day in honor of a widower raising six children all by himself. Not to mention the relentless, laborious effort it took to provide for and ensure the wellbeing of six children in the absence of modern technology. That man deserves an entire month of tribute and praise! A lot has changed since the inception of Father’s Day we’ve gone from the first Model-Ts to battery operated Teslas, from sending messages to friends in a matter of weeks to sending messages in a matter of seconds.

I also performed in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for two years.

BALANCING ACT

By: Susan Tomback
VP of Sales and Marketing

We’ve all heard the phrase “pH balanced,” but what does that mean to us in the world of skincare? Potential of hydrogen, or pH, measures the amount of acidity or alkalinity in a substance, and since our bodies are composed of over 70% water, this is an important element to watch. Though the general rule is that maintaining a slightly alkaline environment in the body helps to prevent disease, as bacteria and viruses, even malignant cells, cannot survive in an alkaline environment (drink your Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar, people!), the opposite is true for the skin.

I TRIED EXHALE’S NEW CARDIO CLASS…(AND DIDN’T DIE)

By Emily McNeely, exhale’s Marketing Coordinator + Copywriter (and new Cardio convert!)

I’m just going to come right out and say it: cardio is not my thing. As a former professional ballet and modern dancer, I recall (with a grimace) the many hours I spent on a treadmill attempting to increase my stamina for a grueling winter season. Let’s just say, I made it through Nutcracker, but that stamina didn’t stick around. Neither did the six-pack.

WHAT’S YOUR OPINION ON BODY WEIGHT AND IMAGE?

Its great to see a woman with influence, such as Heidi Klum, giving advice about body weight and image.

In this article, she warns women about getting too thin and I wholeheartedly agree.

When our focus becomes obsessed with being skinny, we lose perspective on what is a healthy weight and life style.

Society doesn’t make it any easier with waif- thin models adorning the covers and exercise teachers screaming at you that you will never fit into those skin tight jeans unless you do 20 more plies at the bar!

THE BENEFITS OF BODY SCRUBS

By Lauren Cardarelli

Get buffed! There’s no better time than the end of the summer to scrub away dry skin and revive your body’s full complexion. Dry brushing and other exfoliating techniques go beyond skin deep to rid your body of waste and help relieve stress! This month, exhale is making it easier than ever to get a scrub – for only $10, you can add on a scrub when you buy our Month of Mindfulness package (click to details.).

Body scrubs offer terrific benefits to body and mind, including:

remove pore-blocking, dead cells, which are often the culprits behind in-grown hairs, fine lines and wrinkles
increase circulation and stimulate the lymphatic system (your body’s waste elimination network) to decrease inflammation
increase collagen production to combat sun damage, free radicals and pollution.
zen out with the meditative movements of dry brushing
